How to Celebrate Trinity Sunday with Children

Trinity Sunday honors one of the greatest mysteries of our faith: one God in three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This solemnity invites us to wonder at the unity and love within the Holy Trinity.

Here are a few simple, faith-filled ways to celebrate at home:

Use Our Trinity Printables

The Holy Trinity can be pretty daunting to teach our littles ones, it is a mystery after all. We created some things to hopefully help you navigate this. Our Trinity printable set includes:

  • About the Holy Trinity

  • Holy Trinity Coloring Page

  • My Holy Trinity Mini Book – A hands-on way for kids to reflect on the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Trinity-Inspired Snacks

Celebrate the day with food that highlights the number three:

  • Three Cheese Pizza – A kid-favorite with a symbolic twist!

  • Triangle Sandwiches – Cut sandwiches into triangle shapes to represent the Trinity.

  • Trinity Parfaits – Layer yogurt, granola, and fruit. Three simple layers = one tasty reminder.

  • Pretzels – Their classic shape is said to symbolize arms crossed in prayer—and the three holes can remind us of the Trinity!

  • Tri-colored Popsicles- those classic red, white, and blue popsicles come to mind!

? Pray the Creed

Recite the Apostles' Creed or Nicene Creed together as a family. You can also sing them if you’d like, or listen to the Gregorian chant of the Nicene Creed. Older children may enjoy learning the prayers in Latin: “Credo in Deum Patrem omnipotentem, Creatorem caeli et terrae…”
